Gesell's translucent mirrors have always been used for covert observation of someone outside, the Other. But it is impossible to make a division into «here» and «there» in the mirror system of coordinates, where the observer who surrounded himself with mirrors found himself trapped in the labyrinths of self-reflections. The object of observation in the distance is the viewer himself, always immersed in this ubiquitous viscous gaze.
